1. Program Description
Aclamia provides an SMS and WhatsApp messaging service that allows business owners ("business users") to send review request messages to their customers. Messages are sent via Twilio on behalf of the business user.
Aclamia itself is not the originator of these messages. Each message is sent on behalf of the specific business whose owner is registered on the Aclamia platform. The business user is responsible for ensuring all recipients have provided appropriate consent.
2. Message Types
The following types of messages may be sent through Aclamia's messaging service:
- Review request messages: A single message, sent on behalf of a business you have dealt with, asking you to leave a review for that business. Every such message identifies the business and includes opt-out instructions.
- Messages to the business owner's own phone: new-review alerts and — on plans that include it — an approval conversation over WhatsApp or SMS in which the owner approves or edits AI-drafted replies. These are sent only to the account holder, who enables them explicitly in their dashboard settings and can disable them at any time.
Aclamia does not send unsolicited promotional SMS or WhatsApp messages on its own behalf to end customers.
WhatsApp. Messages delivered over WhatsApp are sent through the WhatsApp Business Platform using pre-approved message templates and are additionally subject to Meta's WhatsApp Business terms and messaging policies.
3. Opt-In (Consent Requirements)
Business users are solely responsible for obtaining proper consent from each recipient before sending messages through Aclamia. By using the review request feature, the business user warrants that every recipient has provided prior written express consent (as required by the Telephone Consumer Protection Act, TCPA, for SMS) to receive messages from that specific business.
Aclamia does not verify, collect, or store consent records on behalf of business users. The business user must maintain their own records of customer consent and provide them to Aclamia or regulatory authorities upon request.
4. Opt-Out Instructions
Recipients may opt out of receiving future messages at any time:
- SMS: Reply STOP to any message to permanently opt out. Reply HELP for assistance.
- WhatsApp: Reply STOP or use WhatsApp's built-in block feature.
Opt-outs are processed immediately and recorded in Aclamia's system. Replying STOP to an Aclamia SMS or WhatsApp message creates a platform-wide suppression for that phone number, so it blocks future SMS and WhatsApp messages sent through Aclamia on behalf of any business. This is not a per-business setting.
Business users cannot view, remove, or narrow a recipient's platform-wide STOP from their Aclamia account. The account interface does not override a recipient's STOP.
5. Message Frequency
Aclamia enforces frequency limits on every business user's behalf: a business can send at most 2 review request messages per month to the same phone number, and a phone number receives at most 3 such messages per month across all businesses on the platform. Messages are sent only between 8:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. local time; anything scheduled outside that window waits until it opens. For questions about a message, contact the business that sent it, or Aclamia at support@aclamia.com.
6. Standard Carrier Rates
Message and data rates may apply. Standard SMS and data rates from your mobile carrier apply to messages sent through Aclamia. Aclamia does not charge recipients for receiving messages.
7. No Sharing of Phone Numbers
Customer phone numbers collected through Aclamia's messaging system are:
- Used solely to deliver review request messages on behalf of the relevant business user.
- Never shared with third parties for advertising, marketing lists, or any purpose other than message delivery.
- Retained only for as long as the business user account is active and for the data retention period specified in our Privacy Policy. Phone numbers that reply STOP are the one exception: they are kept on a platform-wide suppression list indefinitely, so that no business on the platform can message them again through Aclamia.
8. Contact & Support
